Introduction to the role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Associate Finance Business Partner / Financial Analyst to support financial reporting, performance analysis, and business decision-making. The role involves extracting and interpreting financial data from multiple systems and preparing high-quality management reports and presentations for Business Unit (BU) leadership and stakeholders.
Some of the things you will be doing:
- Extract, consolidate, and analyze financial data from systems such as Oracle EPM, SAP, Power BI, and other reporting tools
- Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual BU financial performance reports
- Develop and maintain management decks, board packs, and review presentations for senior leadership
- Coordinate with Finance Business Partners to collate and standardize variance analysis and commentary
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial reporting deliverables
- Perform variance analysis (Actuals vs Budget / Forecast) and highlight key business drivers
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in reporting
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and business requests
What Technical Skills, Experience, and qualifications do you need
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Formulas, pivot tables, lookups, basic financial modeling)
- Working knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Word) for presentation development
- Familiarity with financial systems such as Oracle EPM / Smart View (preferred but not mandatory)
- Exposure to SAP, Power BI, or similar reporting tools is an advantage
- Good understanding of financial statements and variance analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interpret financial data and present insights clearly
- High attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, or Accounting with 10+ years' experience.
- CA / CMA / ACCA (qualified) preferred –3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, reporting, or business finance. or semi qualified with 5+ years
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive reports for management, focusing on one business unit.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Extract and manipulate data from Oracle EPM and other ERP systems, converting it into informative formats.
- Perform variance analysis and identify trends to enhance business performance.
- Collaborate with regional Finance Business Partners to coordinate and gather variance commentary.
- Assist in the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the assigned business unit.
- Prepare financial review slides and board packs, ensuring they are ready for management review.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in financial analysis and reporting.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to management and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar role, preferably in a business partnering capacity.
- Proficiency in Oracle EPM or other ERP systems, with the ability to extract and manipulate data.
- Advanced Excel skills, including expertise in functions and data manipulation.
- Experience in financial modeling and forecasting techniques, with a track record of accurate predictions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to present complex financial information clearly.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive and results-driven approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new financial tools and systems.
