All about the role:
We’re looking for a technically hands-on Engineering Lead to take ownership of solution design, planning, and technical execution for our consumer-facing eCommerce platform.
In this role, you’ll work closely with Product Owners and Managers to translate the roadmap and prioritized initiatives into well-architected, high-quality solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring technical excellence, aligning requirements across stakeholders, and leading the solutioning process from concept to delivery.
What you’ll do:
Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Managers, UX, and Business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs and plans.
Lead the design, development, and deployment of ecommerce marketplace solutions.
Ensure solution quality, adherence to architectural standards, and alignment with long-term platform vision.
Own the technical solution planning, including technical roadmaps, dependencies, and integration strategies.
Conduct technical reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability.
Facilitate technical discussions, identify risks early, and propose mitigation strategies.
Act as the technical point of contact for cross-functional teams during project execution.
Stay current with industry’s best practices and emerging technologies to keep our stack modern and competitive.
Who are you
8+ years’ experience working in SAP Commerce cloud platform.
Proven experience leading engineering teams in ecommerce or marketplace environments.
Solid understanding of microservices architecture, APIs, and cloud-native development.
Experience in the eCommerce domain – product catalogues, CMS, checkout, payments, personalization, PIM etc.
Strong leadership and communication skills with a passion for mentoring and team development.
Background in agile methodologies and product-centric development.
This is a full-time position, based in Bangalore, India.
