Analyze business processes and map them to Microsoft Dynamics NAV functionality
Design, develop, test, and deploy NAV customizations using C/AL / AL
Configure and customize NAV modules such as:
Finance (GL, AR, AP, FA)
Sales & Purchase
Inventory & Warehouse
Manufacturing / Supply Chain (if applicable)
Develop and modify reports using RDLC / SSRS
Create and maintain integrations with third-party systems (REST/SOAP APIs, XML, JSON)
Solution Leadership
Lead NAV implementations, upgrades, and migrations (NAV to Business Central is a plus)
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers and consultants
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend optimization strategies
Support & Stakeholder Management
Handle complex production issues and root cause analysis
Work closely with business users, project managers, and QA teams
Prepare technical documentation, design specs, and user guides
Participate in client discussions, requirement workshops, and solution demos
Required Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision)
Proficiency in C/AL and/or AL development
Strong understanding of NAV database structure and SQL Server
Experience in customization, extension development, and integrations
Knowledge of NAV security, permissions, and role centers
Technical Expertise
NAV Versions: NAV 2015–2018 (Business Central exposure preferred)
Reporting: RDLC, SSRS
Tools: Visual Studio Code, Object Designer, SQL Server Management Studio
Integration techniques: Web Services, APIs, middleware
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and in team environments
Experience in Agile or Waterfall project methodologies
Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central (on-prem or cloud)
Azure services exposure (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, DevOps)
Microsoft certification in Dynamics NAV / Business Central
Experience in large-scale ERP implementations
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent
