We are seeking an Inventory Optimization Analyst to support the development, monitoring, and improvement of inventory strategies across our distribution network. This role will generate the analytical insights and models that inform inventory policy decisions and help leadership understand and manage inventory health.
The ideal candidate is quantitatively strong, curious, and eager to develop expertise in supply chain planning within a collaborative and data-driven team environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze inventory levels, turnover rates, fill rates, and excess and obsolete inventory across the distribution network
• Support the development and maintenance of safety stock and reorder point models for assigned product segments
• Perform root cause analysis on inventory imbalances, stockouts, and overstock situations and recommend corrective actions
• Build and maintain inventory KPI dashboards and generate regular performance reports for supply chain leadership
• Model inventory scenarios to evaluate the cost and service level impact of policy changes
• Collaborate with demand planning, replenishment, and warehouse teams to resolve inventory issues
• Maintain data accuracy within inventory planning and ERP systems
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related analytical field
• 2+ years of experience in inventory analysis, supply chain planning, or operations analytics
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) preferred
• Understanding of inventory management concepts including safety stock, ABC classification, and cycle counting
• High attention to detail and ability to work with large, complex datasets
Preferred Qualifications
• APICS CPIM certification (or in progress)
• Exposure to inventory optimization or advanced planning tools
• Experience in a distribution, retail, or manufacturing supply chain environment
