We are looking for a Mission Operations Coordinator to support the planning, scheduling, and real-time coordination of mission-critical activities for defense and national security programs. This role ensures that mission teams have the resources, information, and coordination support they need to execute effectively in time-sensitive, high-stakes environments.
The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, possesses exceptional organizational skills, and has a background supporting operations in defense, aerospace, or government program contexts.
Key Responsibilities
• Support planning, scheduling, and day-of coordination for mission operations including exercises, demonstrations, and live operational deployments
• Develop and maintain operational schedules, mission timelines, and resource allocation plans
• Facilitate inter-team communications across field operations, engineering, logistics, and intelligence during active missions
• Monitor mission status in real time, escalating issues and coordinating rapid response to operational disruptions
• Produce mission briefing packages, situation reports, and after-action review documentation
• Maintain mission readiness databases and track the status of personnel certifications, equipment, and consumable supplies
• Ensure compliance with applicable defense and program-specific operational protocols, safety standards, and reporting requirements
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Military Studies, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in operations coordination, mission support, or program management within defense or government programs
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, 24/7 operational environments with shifting priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including experience producing operational documentation and briefings
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and operational scheduling or coordination tools
Preferred Qualifications
• Military service or experience supporting DoD, NASA, or intelligence community operations
• Familiarity with mission planning tools, operational command structures, or exercise management frameworks
• Active or previous U.S. government security clearance
