Our Broadcast Media team is located in our Seffner, Florida location and are adding a Senior Broadcast Media Buyer! This opportunity will provide ample opportunity for growth and partnering with an amazing broadcast team!
What you will be doing:
- Negotiating, buying and maintaining broadcast media schedules in assigned markets throughout the Southeast, Virginia and Texas.
- Working collaboratively with the VP of Media and other members of the integrated buying team.
- Monitoring historical rate/CPM structures to ensure annual buy integrity is maintained.
- Evaluating new media opportunities and securing added value as requested.
- Developing and maintaining a positive image and relationships with station account executives and management in assigned markets.
- Providing training, guidance and leadership to Broadcast Media Coordinators.
What you bring to the table:
- At least seven years’ experience as a full-charge broadcast media buyer working on large accounts.
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a marketing, creative, or quantitative field.
- Effective time management and organizational skills to meet deadline requirements, able to multi-task, strong attention to detail, as well as consistent follow-through.
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities necessary for a high degree of financial accuracy.
- Thorough understanding and working knowledge of the local media landscape.
- Excellent negotiation track record and professional verbal/ written communication skills.
- Comprehensive buy stewardship, including timely completion of buys following guidelines, managing the day-to-day buy integrity, pre-posts, posts and restitution.
- Knowledgeable in the methodology and use of all available broadcast data and related services.
- High proficiency level in Excel, Strata, Word, SQAD required; fast adaptor to new software training.
