Senior Network Engineer- WAN DE

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team and establish strong partnerships with internal stakeholders. This role requires a deep technical understanding and the ability to design, engineer, and test hybrid network solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver innovative network designs that align with business needs. They will also ensure network architecture supports critical business applications and provide consultancy to project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead network design and engineering efforts, collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Develop, engineer, and test network solutions, ensuring alignment with business and architectural requirements.
• Utilize agile methodologies and provide technical leadership for new network features and solutions.
• Analyze, research, and evaluate alternative network solutions, serving as a subject matter expert.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and outcomes, ensuring fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Conduct technical analysis, definition, and design of network systems to meet business needs.
• Implement and modify properly engineered network and information systems, ensuring optimal performance.
• Ensure network architecture supports critical business applications and provides consultancy to project teams.
• Develop standards and conduct network testing, certification, and qualification.
• Maintain excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric approach.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in a similar role, delivering enterprise-scale infrastructure.
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS, NXOS, IOS-XR, Juniper JUNIOS, and hardware, along with IP Routing and Switching.
• Strong hands-on experience with MPLS, IP Firewalls, Load Balancers, and Multicast.
• Expertise in TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Service Provider networks, Ethernet switching, BGP, EIGRP, SNMP, L2/L3VPN, and QoS.
• Experience with NFV, Service Orchestration, and programmable networks.
• Excellent written and presentation skills, with a customer-centric mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a results-oriented focus.
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and Gitlab tooling, and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Broad understanding of cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP) and cloud computing.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
