About Company:
Our Client is a manufacturer of electronic interconnectors. They sell over 100,000 products, including everything from electrical and fiber optic interconnects solutions, to switches and application tooling. They supply a variety of industries, including the telecom, data com, computer and peripheral, automotive, premise wiring, industrial, consumer, medical and military markets.
About Position:-
Position: "Technical Writter"
Location:-Bangalore
Experience:
1.Minimum 3 years in Engineering/Engineering Services industries as a Technical Writer.
2.Proven ability to gather and document business processes and requirements/ability to document and integrate business processes across disparate systems
Purpose of Position:
* To work closely with the reliability testing lab and the product development teams to analyze and reorganize customer testing standards documents, to use these highly diverse styled documents to build new consistently styled documents in an internally linked database.
* To build a technically accurate reference library for design and testing engineers internal customers.
* To be able to create basic illustrations from a PDF document. To create or modify business process documentation,training materials,internal templates and other documentation.
Job Responsibilities:
* Primarily responsible for assisting various Subject Matter Experts in the gathering and documenting of current work flows, functional requirements/technical specifications, and best practice documentation.
* Create templates based on customer and industry testing specifications. Input templates into customer's software tools and review with engineering teams for accuracy and completeness.
* Research, write, edit and proofread technical data for use in documents or sections of documents such as templates, procedures and specifications.
* Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and product sample
* Create user documentation for a variety of material, including how-to guides and instruction manuals.
* Prepare charts, graphs, or forms to go along with rough drafts.
* Ensure fields flow in the correct sequence.
* Write clear and concise policies and procedures
* Document policies, procedures and standards to facilitate consistent practices throughout the world and provide a vehicle for employee training.
* Submit copies to managers for feedback.
* Adjust copy as necessary and proofread for grammar and spelling.
* Support the company for ISO/QS certifications and company TQM policies and procedures.
* Monitoring the Quality and delivery of outputs and implementing corrections to the processes if necessary.
Skill Sets & Competencies:
* Strong background in business and technical writing.
* Experience with creating work flows, requirements documents, design documents, templates, and other types of business documentation.
* MS Office Suite, MS Project, Paint, Visio.
* Good interpersonal skills, ability to interact with multiple technical teams.
* Intermediate knowledge of SAP and PDM systems.
* Knowledge of quality systems ISO: 9000-2000, ISO: 14001, TS16949.
